Methods that can be used if lower tolerances are requested:

Special tolerance feasibility must be evaluated individually for each part and each dimension.

Other Tolerances

Although our company has the capacity to produce various parts for the aviation industry by performing precision casting with numerous material alternatives, the parts commonly requested from Çevik Teknik Metalürji are;

Planarity – Linearity: Parts can be produced flat and linear within a tolerance of 0.12 mm (0.005″) according to length. In thick sections, this tolerance can increase to 0.25 mm (0.010″).

Circularity: Hole profile is within Normal Linear Tolerances. Special Linear Tolerances can be applied if needed. It is preferable to adopt General Linear Tolerances wherever possible.

Concentricity:It is not more than the diameter difference between the centers of two cylindrical surfaces with common centers multiplied by 0.12 mm (0.005”). If the length of the cylinder is more than twice its diameter, it is necessary to add the straightness tolerance to the concentricity tolerance.

Angularity/Perpendicularity: Normally ± 0.5° is a good tolerance for production. Angular tolerance may be as low as ± 0.25° in some cases, and may increase to ±1.0° in some cases.

Casting Properties – General Rules

With ceramic cores, the hole depth can be increased up to 30 times the diameter. Wall Thicknesses and Corner Radiuses:Minimum wall thickness and corner radius depend on part configuration and dimensions. In some cases, wall thicknesses can be up to 0.5 mm (0.030″) and Corner radius is 0.10 mm (0.005″). Up to R is possible. Surface Roughness: The common surface texture in investment casting is 125 RMS texture. It is possible to apply secondary treatments to improve the surface texture. Fillets: Fillets both reduce internal tension and improve the image. It is recommended to make the fillets as large as possible. Letters, Numbers, Logos: Creating embossed letters, numbers and logos are the most economical. Text or logo details should be given. Metallurgical and Visual Quality Requirements:Material, heat treatment and visual details should be clarified between the customer and Çevik Teknik Metalurji. Specific Needs:In case of any customer needs other than those specified here, the details are clarified with our technical team.
